Senior Bowl Notes

  • Hageman accepted an invitation to play in the 2014 Senior Bowl in Mobile.
  • On Monday, the former Gopher showed active hands and looked to get up the field on every snap.  I liked how active he was, but I want to see him get up the field more consistently and defeat the man in front of him more quickly.
  • Tuesday, Hageman was up and down but he showd his strength by rag dolling Miami OL Brandon Linder during 1-on-1 pass rush drills.  It's been clear through two days that when Hageman is cranked up to a full volume, he's a terror to block.  But, he runs hot and cold and that's slowed him down during the first two days.
  • Hageman has been tough to block inside and outside and looks like a great fit for a team looking for a penetrating 3-4 DE.  When Hageman gets beat, it is usually because he is playing too high off the snap.
