Team Rank Comment

Green Bay Packers
1 Aaron Rodgers is the clear leader for the MVP and his offense is carrying the team right now.

Baltimore Ravens
2 Ravens were one last-second TD from falling down the ratings, but now they have two wins over the Steelers.

Pittsburgh Steelers
3 Steelers don't feel like they are the third best team in the league as they spit the bit against the Ravens.

San Francisco 49ers
4 I might be selling the Niners a little bit short, but I still want to see them win against better competition (like Giants this week).

New York Giants
5 The Giants aren't artistic in their wins, but they are winning nonetheless. Eli has stepped his game up.

New Orleans Saints
6 The Saints have been their own worst enemies in their losses. Still tons of potential with this team.

New England Patriots
7 Patriots offense has all the respect in the world, but their pass defense is an absolute joke.

Houston Texans
8 Texans are hanging in without Andre Johnson, but they need him back over the second half to reach potential.

New York Jets
9 Huge win in Buffalo as the Jets finally backed up their talk, but they seem to lack explosiveness on both sides of the ball.

Detroit Lions
10 Lions have been a great story this year, but too many near misses and a shaky offensive line have me concerned.

Chicago Bears
11 Bears have been counted out by most all season, but a win against the Lions will get everyone's attention.

Atlanta Falcons
12 It is hard to tell if the Falcons are much better than their record or not as good. Either way, Matt Ryan must play better.

Cincinnati Bengals
13 The Bengals are a tremendous story thanks to the consistent play of Andy Dalton, A.J. Green and the defense.

Buffalo Bills
14 Buffalo was manhandled by the Jets and one has to wonder if this will begin the Bills decent back to the middle of the pack.

San Diego Chargers
15 The Chargers will take a big step up once Philip Rivers starts playing like Philip Rivers, but until then...

Dallas Cowboys
16 Dallas might see things start to turn around thanks to finding a running game, but where has their run defense been?

Tampa Bay Buccaneers
17 The Bucs are grinding and trying to keep their heads above water in the NFC South and they need Josh Freeman to improve.

Oakland Raiders
18 The Raiders have to get Darren McFadden back sot they can lean on the running game and stop leaning on Carson Palmer.

Philadelphia Eagles
19 Oh, Eagles. How we wanted to believe that you were going to make your run, but alas, you disappoint once again.

Tennessee Titans
20 Unfortunately for Matt Hasselbeck and Mike Munchack, it doesn't appear that Chris Johnson is going to "hit the switch".

Carolina Panthers
21 The Panthers might only have two wins this year, but they are easily one of the more competitive losing teams in football.

Kansas City Chiefs
22 The Chiefs were on a roll until last weekend's massacre against the Dolphins. Hard to buy into them at this point.

Denver Broncos
23 Tebow does it ugly, but he got it done last weekend. There is a chance the Broncos could sneak up the ratings.

Minnesota Vikings
24 The Vikings might actually be better than the 24th team, but they get no relief in a very difficult division with a rookie QB.

Jacksonville Jaguars
25 Jacksonville is competitive on the defensive side of the ball, but despite MJD, their offense continues to flounder.

Washington Redskins
26 Washington might be one of the four worst teams in football right now as their offense is as pathetic as it gets right now.

Cleveland Browns
27 Cleveland has no go-to wideouts, the running game is a mess and Colt McCoy can't carry them. The defense must play well.

Miami Dolphins
28 The Dolphins not only showed signs of life, but they showed they are much better than their hapless record.

Arizona Cardinals
29 Arizona is in the worst division in football and yet they sit here at 2-6 with troubles all over the field. Not good.

Seattle Seahawks
30 Seattle has shown some fight and they might be a little bit better than I'm giving them credit for, but bad is bad, so....

St. Louis Rams
31 The Rams will almost assuredly move up this list as Sam Bradford shakes off the rust, or will they?

Indianapolis Colts
32 The Colts are the worst team in football and it isn't even close. If we could make them 37th just to create distance, we would.
