An inside look at the Senior Bowl quarterbacks from the South squad on Wednesday, the last real practice of the week:
Arm Strength: 5.0
Comments: Considering the windy conditions throughout the practice, Weeden’s arm strength came in handy. He was still able to make power throws most of the session.
Comments: Weeden made several outstanding throws for the third straight day. And one of the things that stood out is he continued to make tough throws into tight throwing windows. The fact that he’s willing to attempt these throws and he’s able to actually complete them is a very strong sign of where he’s at in his development as a passer.
Mechanics/Pocket Awareness: 4.5
Comments: Weeden’s mechanics have been consistently solid all week. He continues to throw with proper footwork and balance.
Arm Strength: 4.25
Comments: Because Lindley’s passing mechanics were much improved; he was able to get better power into his passes throughout this practice session.
Comments: This was really the one practice session of his three where Lindley put the passes on the hands of his intended receivers consistently.
Mechanics/Pocket Awareness: 4.0
Comments: He seemed to be in a much better rhythm than the previous two days. Lindley did a better job of setting his feet and stepping into his passes.
Arm Strength: 4.5
Comments: Foles really let it rip today. This was easily his best session of the week. While some will question his mechanics, Foles displayed really good power on his throws. And it wasn’t an easy task because of the strong wind.
Comments: After struggling a bit with his accuracy, Foles picked up the pace and did a nice job of putting his passes on the hands of his intended targets for most of this practice session.
Pocket Awareness/Movement: 4.0
Comments: Again, Foles seemed to have himself more together today than the previous two days. He did a much better job of squaring his shoulders and getting proper weight transfer.
