As first noted recently, veteran RB Travis Henry was released from a three-year jail sentence and is attempting a comeback.
Henry, 33 (turns 34 in October), has been working out for several weeks and wants to resume his NFL career. But it won’t be easy. He hasn’t played since the 2007 season.
However, Henry has been notified by the NFL that he has been conditionally reinstated, an NFL source confirmed. The veteran power runner was suspended by the NFL for at least one year back in August of 2008. All NFL teams were notified Monday of his reinstatement.
Henry, who was originally selected in the second round of the 2001 NFL Draft by the Buffalo Bills, last played in the NFL for the Denver Broncos in 2007.
