With starting RB Joseph Addai missing practice all week due to a hamstring injury, the Indianapolis Colts addressed the situation by signing rookie RB Darren Evans off the practice squad. To make room for him on the 53-man roster, the Colts placed WR Blair White (knee) on injured reserve.
Evans (6-0, 220), who was signed as an undrafted free agent by the Colts on July 29, is now the fourth running back on the 53-man roster. However, with Addai likely to miss his fourth game this season due to his lingering injury, Evans is expected to dress as the third back.
With White gone for the rest of the season, the Colts currently only have four wide receivers on their roster.
The Colts will face the visiting division rival Jacksonville Jaguars on Sunday.
